GLOUCESTERSHIRE TABLE TENNIS ASSOCIATION

Gloucestershire Seniors Team Premier Division

Having gained promotion into division one last year Gloucestershire Table Tennis Veterans started off their latest round of matches in this year’s County Championships.

The team consisting of Darren Griffin, David Harvey, Dave Adamson and Judy Morley travelled to the Kingfisher Table Tennis Club, Reading to compete in their first two matches.

At Reading their opponents were Worcester’s first team followed by Essex’s first team.

In their first encounter Gloucester gained a great win, with only two games being dropped during the match.

Worcestershire 2 v Gloucestershire 8

In the second match, Gloucestershire once again proved that they had earned their right to be in division one.

Dave Adamson in spite of playing extremely well was unable to gain a win against the Essex team.
The only other game that Gloucestershire dropped was the men’s doubles, where Dave Adamson and Dave Harvey teamed up against the formidable Clive Carthy and John Pain.

Essex 3 v Gloucestershire 7

Gloucestershire have made a magnificent start in their campaign in a very strong division one.
