24.11.08

Dear All
Please find attached the latest tables and averages. Sorry for the delay but
I have been ill and also had a problem that needed sorting out. The outcome
of that problem is that with regret, I have to inform you that Optimists A
have withdrawn from the league. All results of their games have been
withdrawn and therefore tables and averages altered accordingly.

This does have the effect of leaving Debenhams A with a fairly clear lead at
the top of the Division, but also means that there are now a number of teams
fighting for the runners-up spot.

Division 2 continues to remain close and I have a feeling that the top and
bottom places will go all the way to the end of the season.

Div 3 sees the two British Energy teams filling the top spots. British
Energy B were helped this week with a good win over a very under par
Redcliffe team (we had two players still recovering from sickness and the
third awaiting an operation on a damaged knee). Well I've got to come up
with some excuse!!!!!

Division 4 sees the top two teams pulling away from the rest of the field.
However, who is going to take the title looks to be in the balance.

As with the above division, Div 5 sees two teams breaking away, with the
Optimists looking to be taking the edge as favourites.

Dear All

Hope that this cold weather isn't causing too many problems for you.

At the top of Div 1 Debenhams A extend their lead while at the bottom
Highnam A close up on Rudford C.

Civil Service A reverse roles with Debenhams B moving to the top of Div 2.
Rudford F retain the bottom spot but are not that far behind the teams above
them.

Highnam B secured their first win of the season, and what a win!!!!! They
beat the top team, British Energy A, 7-3 thanks in part to their new
recruit, James Dance who scored a hatrick of wins. With the scorecard yet to
come in from British Energy B the top of this Division continues to remain
close. Highnam B for the title???!!!!

British Energy C jump back to the top of Div 4 thanks to a 10-0 win over
bottom of the table Rudford H.

Optimists D continue to dominate Div 5 with their three players commanding
the top three slots in the averages. This doesn't bode well for Redcliffe
College who are playing them in the handicap this week!

Only one more league playing week before Christmas. For those playing in the
handicap next week, have fun.

DON'T FORGET - saturday afternoon junior coaching session.

WHERE? - 2pm -4pm churchdown school.

COST? - £2-50 per child.

Starts after Christmas again 3rd january.

For any more info. please contact Mike Kiff.
