Gloucester’s Darren Griffin has just returned from the recent VETTS Northern Masters Tournament which was held at the Blackpool Sports Centre over the weekend 13/14 march 2010 where he competed in the over 40’s event.

In the quarterfinals he had a notable victory over the former European Champion John Hilton, winning 11–9 in the fifth. He then progressed to the semi-final where he lost to the eventual winner Keith Williams, who also won the over 40’s in the National event at Sheffield earlier this month.
