Gloucestershire competed in Division 1B in the County Championships and their first match was against Gwent consisting of
Alexander O’Connell
Ashley Perry
Alexander Williams
Charlotte Carey
Elizabeth Roberts

Several of the Gwent team are very experience players for their age and travel to the ETTA Grand Prix events that are staged around the country.

The final result was Gwent 9, Gloucestershire 1

Jack Collings was the only player to steal a point for the county side and was unlucky not to win a second game in their match against tough opposition. Simon James also came very close to winning two of his games.

In their second encounter of the day yet another strong Welsh side crossed their paths, this time it was Glamorgan 2 whose team comprised of also very experienced players

Alex Francis
Conner Edwards
Ashley Stavrakis
Naomi James
Caris Webster

Jack Collings was the only player to gain a point for Gloucestershire and was unlucky not to gain a second deserved win, whilst Simon James also gave his heart and soul but could not manage to gain that elusive win.

The final result Glamorgan 2nds 9, Gloucestershire 1

Jack, Simon, Joe, Corrie and Hannah player with passion and determination throughout these extremely tough matches never losing heart and or considering giving up. The team put in a very courageous first performance to be proud of.
