Gloucester's Darren Griffin has just returned from the recent 13th Six Nations Veterans Championship with a personal haul of two Gold Medals. The event, which was staged at the National Sports Centre in Douglas on the Isle of Man over the weekend 11 - 13 September, included teams from England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, Guernsey and the Isle of Man.
Darren's first Gold came in the team event where he, Abdul Wuraola and Ritchie Venner dominated the competition and managed to claim the title whilst only dropping one individual match along the way.
His second Gold came in the Over 40's Doubles event where he and Ritchie Venner overcame the Scottish number 1 & 2 ranked players Gerry Campbell and Willie Mabon in an exciting final.
Darren who is currently ranked 12th in the ETTA Ranking List almost ensured a third medal when he narrowly lost in the semi-finals of the over 40's singles event.
